Jetsetter Gift Ideas
I know I'm barely squeezing into the reasonable time frame for purchasing Christmas gifts online, but like the rest of you, I'm sure, December has been a crazy busy month. So bear with me! There are tons of bloggers out there compiling great lists of gift ideas for him and/or her, fashion, beauty, you name it. But I haven't seen a single list of ideas for people who love to travel (I could have easily missed them, though!). So voila--behold my list of gift ideas for jetsetters!
Gregory Women's Deva 70 Backpack ($319)
If you love to hike, backpack, or travel around countries with cobblestones and rough streets, this is a great gift. I thought my fiance's recommendation that I wear a pack instead of using a roller bag on our last trip was ridiculous, but I quickly found out how smart of an idea that was. Carrying everything on your back is SO much easier and quicker than lugging and lifting a roller bag over cobblestones and up tons of stairs. Plus, if your fellow traveler hikes a ton on top of it, you'll quickly get your money's worth for this pack. I borrowed a friend's and found it to be quite comfortable!RFID Blocking Sleeves ($15)
These are a great idea for anyone, let alone someone who travels often. These credit card and passport sleeves are equipped with RFID Secure technology, which blocks RFID signals from stealing information stored on your card.
Refillable Perfume Bottle ($10)
It takes only seconds to siphon your favorite perfume (or cologne) into a travel-sized spray bottle that you can carry on (or check) in your luggage. I've linked one from Amazon, but I recently saw them at Nordstrom Rack as well.
Platypus SoftBottle 0.5-L ($8)
I first discovered soft, flexible water bottles when I got one as a Lufthansa freebie for running a 5k over a year ago. These are great for traveling because they don't take up nearly as much room as a traditional water bottle. When they're empty you can easily bend, twist, fold, or stuff them anywhere in your bag. Great for saving space.
SlimFold Wallet ($20)
These are made in the USA (San Francisco to be exact) and are marketed as the slimmest, lightest, and strongest minimalist wallets available. They even come with an RFID blocking as an option. Perfect for those who only want to carry items of utmost importance.
AmeriLeather Jewelry Roll ($40)
This jewelry organizer comes in a variety of colors and is small enough to stuff in your luggage along with everything else. It has a number of compartments for various items of jewelry.
Eagle Creek Packing Cube Set ($27)
I love my Eagle Creek packing cubes. I don't know about the rest of you, but I hate digging through my luggage and messing up my clothing organization when I'm looking for something that I thought I packed (especially when searching through a backpack). They help me organize my clothes when I'm traveling for an extended amount of time. Plus the top is mesh, which helps the cube "breathe" when you pack it up with dirty clothes before heading back home.
