Daily Makeup Routine Beauty Products

Today I thought I'd share with you what beauty products I use for my everyday, 9-to-5, get ready as fast as you can in the morning make up routine.  Like most everyone else on this planet, I love to sleep and I hate waking up earlier than I want to in the morning.  Some days I might get a little adventurous and apply a smidge of bronzer or have fun with some eye shadow.  But most of the time I stick with my tried and true early morning army of concealer, foundation, blush, eyeliner, mascara, and tinted lip balm.

Below you'll find my reviews for each product.  For convenience I've linked to each product on Ulta Beauty's website.  You can just as easily purchase these products using Amazon, Target, or your local drug store for some of these beauty brands; or you can go straight to Tarte's and Bare Escentuals' websites to purchase their products.  I chose to link to these products on Ulta's website because not only is everything in one place, but they also have a rewards program in which you earn points for dollar amounts spent that you can later redeem for a discount off a future purchase.

1. Tarte Colored Clay CC Undereye Corrector ($24.00)
This is actually my first Tarte purchase.  I'd originally been using the bareMinerals Correcting Concealer Broad Spectrum SPF 20, but discovered that I was in between shades, so it wasn't a good match for me.  Tarte's concealer only comes in two shades, but luckily I found that the lighter shade blended better with my skin tone; it also didn't settle into any fine lines under my eyes as much as the bareMinerals product.  The former is very important to me as I have hereditary dark circles that can be difficult to conceal.  It also has a slightly creamy consistency, which makes it easier to apply with a concealer brush.  (BareMinerals makes great brushes, but I actually just use a generic Target brand brush to apply my concealer.)  This most definitely will be a repurchase for me.
2. bareMinerals Matte SPF 15 Foundation ($28.00)
I've been using bareMinerals powder foundation and brush for over 10 years, so loyalty to this product is my middle name.  I first tried it when I was preparing for The Nutcracker auditions as a high school freshman and loved how smooth it made my face look.  Not only that, but it has SPF 15, which is an added bonus in my book.  As someone who's a bit on the fairer side, I'll take it!  And if you think this foundation is out of your budget, consider how long a pot of it will last you.  One pot of this foundation easily lasts me for an entire year--and it doesn't go bad!
3. bareMinerals Blush ($20.00)
Just like the bareMinerals foundation, their blushes also last a really long time.  I haven't had to replace one yet!  I use the same brush that I use for the foundation, but you can of course feel free to use something different.  A little bit of color goes a long way and I find that I never need more than a dusting of the blush on the brush to give my cheeks some color.  I have several of their blushes and no complaints for me!
4. Rimmel London Soft Kohl Kajal Eyeliner ($3.99)
I love how easily this eyeliner applies on my lash line; I don't have to press very hard or do any other sort of shenanigans to warm up the pencil color to make it apply easily.  My only complaint is that it breaks fairly easily when sharpening it.  I find that the best way to avoid that issue is to sharpen it in quarter turns instead of continuously turning the pencil in the sharpener.  That said, if I wanted to shell out more money on an eyeliner I'd splurge on the Stila Smudge Stick Waterproof Eye Liner.  I bought them in a special Christmas gift pack of five and I was very impressed.  No sharpening necessary and very easy to apply.
5. L'Oreal Voluminous Volume Building Mascara ($7.99)
I've tried different mascaras over the years, but this is the one drugstore brand that I always end up coming back to.  There's minimal clumping, it comes in a handful of different shades, it volumizes, and it doesn't break the bank.  My biggest pet peeve with mascaras is clumping and I get very little, if any, while applying two coats to my eyelashes.  There's also a waterproof version, which is very much so; it applies just as well, but it can take a bit of caressing with some makeup remover to take it off of your eyelashes.
6. Burt's Bees Lip Shimmer ($4.99)
I absolutely love Burt's Bees for being a natural brand.  Their lip shimmers offer a perfect pop of color all while using 100% natural ingredients.  No preservatives or petrochemicals in this lip product!  My favorite shade is "Fig" followed by "Plum" when going out for the night.  (Avoid the "Champagne" shade, though; it's personally too much shimmer for me and makes my lips look a bit frosty.)  With daily use, the ingredients in these lip shimmers do a wonderful job at moisturizing your lips.  This is another repurchase for me.
What are some of your favorite beauty products for your daily makeup routine?
